Easy Chicken Korma Slow Cooker

There are so many varieties of Chicken Korma, Vegetable Korma, and Fish Korma. Today I teach you the easy simple method of Chicken Korma. Basic spices Whole spices, yogurt, and Creme ( optional ) But if you want the authentic Chicken Korma flavor you must cook with ghee.

If you want Mughlai Korma to add almonds paste and cream to make a more rich creamy texture. serve with tandoori naan or bread.

Slow Cooker Vegetable Korma:

Indian Vegetable Korma is fully loaded with potatoes, tomato, green beans, carrots, and peas. Homemade vegetable korma is so tasty. In this recipe, I am adding creamy coconut milk.

Chicken Korma Recipe

  • 1 large chicken cut into medium pieces
  • 1 tbsp whole spices  (  Cumin seed 1 tsp, 2 black cardamons, 6 whole black pepper, 3 green cardamoms, 2 cloves, )
  • 1 cup fried onion
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp allspice powder 
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic 
  • 1 cup thick yogurt
  • 1/2 cup oil

In a large cooking pot add oil, once the oil is hot. Then add whole spices for 2 min saute. Now add chopped onion and fry light golden. 

Then add chicken pieces and saute for 5 min. Now add all spices powder and salt.

Add yogurt and fried onion mix well and saute for 5 min.

Now add 1 cup of hot water. Cover up, cooking time 12 min medium heat. Now this stage you can add cream or coconut milk. ( optional )

Now ready to serve with tandoori naan, chapati, etc
