Ingredients

  • 1 large chicken cut into medium pieces
  • 1 tbsp whole spices ( Cumin seed 1 tsp, 2 black cardamons, 6 whole black pepper, 3 green cardamoms, 2 cloves, )
  • 1 cup fried onion
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp allspice powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic
  • 1 cup thick yogurt
  • 1/2 cup oil

Instructions

  • In a large cooking pot add oil, once oil hot. Then add whole spices 2 min saute. Now add chopped onion fry light golden. 
  • Then add chicken pieces saute 5 min. Now add all spices powder and salt.
  • Add yogurt and fried onion mix well and saute 5 min.
  • Now add 1 cup of hot water. Cooking time 12 min medium heat.
  • Now ready to serve with tandoori naan, chapati, etc
