Apple Crumble Recipe Without Rolled Oats

Traditional British Apple Crumble. Crumbles come in many guises and can be both sweet and savory but apple is the most popular and no wonder, it is delicious. A light crisp crumble is the perfect topping for delicious green apples. the best apples for cooking green apples because of their balance between sugar and acid.

  • First Peeled all apples cut into 1-2cm chunks.
  • In a saucepan add all apple chunks, 2 tbsp sugar, and 1/4 cup water. And cook medium heat 12 min. until apple is soft and mashy. 
  • Once mushy, put the apples into an aluminum baking tray.
  • Place the flour and the remaining sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the butter and use your hands to mix everything together until the mixture resembles large breadcrumbs.
  • Pour this evenly on top of the apple.
  • Place the crumble in the 180C preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Serve with custard, you can serve with ice cream up to your choice.

Ingredients

  • 4 Cooking Apples ( peel and cut into cubs )
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 300 g All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 150 g Salted Butter
  • 1 Aluminum baking tray
