INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup mix lentil ( red lentil, yellow lentil, chana dal, )
- 4 cups long grain basmati rice ( wash and soak 20 min)
- 1 large onion sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes make a paste
- 2 green chilis chopped
- Dry whole spiced ( 1 stick cinnamon, 2 black cardamons, 1 tsp whole cumin seeds, 1 bay leaves )
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/4 cup oil
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large pan add dry lentils mix and roast 5 to 6 min, until the roasted smell is coming out.
- Take out all lentils other bowl and wash and soak in water for 10 min.
- In a large pan add oil and sliced onion mix and fry until light pink color.
- Add chopped green chilis fry few min.
- Add ginger-garlic paste. Add all whole spices mix 2 min.
- Add tomatoes paste mix well. Now add soak lentils mix well.
- Add salt to taste.
- Add rice mix and add 5 to 6 cups of hot water mix, and cook high flame until all water absorbs rice and lentil.
- Now time to low flame simmer 12 min.
- Serve with salad, pickle.
