Aloo Gobi Recipe

Aloo Gobi Recipe is a conventional dish wherein potatoes (aloo) and cauliflower (gobi) are cooked in an onion-tomato masala (or essentially, curry). Cauliflower and potatoes are both flavor-engrossing vegetables (like zucchini), so it's nothing unexpected that they make an astonishing curry.

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole cauliflower cut into pieces
  • 1 large potato cut into pieces
  • 1 tsp dry crushed red chili
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp coriander and cumin powder
  • 1 tomato cut into sliced
  • 4 green chilis
  • fresh dill chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup mustard oil or cooking oil

Instructions

  • In a pan add cauliflower and potato, and dry crushed red chili, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander, and cumin powder.
  • Add half a cup of water and cook for 10 min low flame.
  •  Cauliflower and potato when soft, add oil in this stage and mix very well. Now add sliced tomato and green chilis, and black pepper powder.
  • Mix well all together and simmer for 5 to 6 min.
  • Garnish fresh chopped dill.
